Job positions

The role:

We are recruiting 8 English tutors.

Teaching Chinese students online.

All tasks are delivered online so employees do not need to leave their homes. (NBN internet has to be connected in the area)

8 part-time positions will be offered (15~35 hrs/week, depending on the market demand).

The hourly rate will be AU$21.50. (AU$25.50 on Saturday. AU$32.00 on Sunday.)

Generally speaking, Chinese High school students’ English level is similar to  yr2 students in Australia （some of them may be lower than yr2). Your goal is to improve their levels from yr2 to yr3~4.

When they reach the yr4 level, it is expected that they will gain 85% points on their GAOKAO test (The National College Entrance Examination). The test is pretty easy.

The test includes a listening and speaking part which is valued at 33% of the test.

Chinese high schools use at least 7 books. (Some schools use 10 books).

Qualifications are not essential but will be helpful. (Higher School Certificate is the minimum requirement)

The candidates need to speak standard English. ( It is OK to be with a little bit of the Aussie accent.)

The candidates do not need to be good at math. However, basic numeric skill is required.

The candidates need to be familiar to use computers, printers, and social network platforms.

National Police Check is required.

Working with children check is required.

Females with Children are highly welcomed. We believe that they knew how to communicate with children better than people without kids.

People with disabilities are also welcomed.
